The navigation panel buttons(setup,cancel etc) do not work intermittently

in 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid w Navi? The navigation panel buttons(menu, setup,cancel etc) "sometimes" do not work at all. It resolves automatically most of the time second time I restart my car.But, lately, it is more frequent than usual and took almost a week to recover. I also have XM radio and LoJack installed, is there something going on with battery. Lately, I am using my iPhone with bluetooth in the car, could that be an issue?
 
maybe the wireless signals from your iPhone and XM are interfering with the navigation somehow. That's what happened with the automatic start in my mom's mini-van when she bought an IPASS for the tollways.
