All I remember is that it was shown in the early hours of the morning (probably on Channel 4).
The protagonists where a very strange bunch indeed & travelled the universe in what appeared to be a gigantic machine/organic hybrid dragonfly, destroying planets willy-nilly!!
The leader of this bunch of misfits was a black leather clad goth type - in fact, so goth he was dead! None of the other crew members seemed particularly concerned by the fact that their leader had expired & seemed to think that this was somehow preferable to a living leader.
By far the strangest character (yes, even stranger than the dead goth) was a very camp robot head. The robot head was passionately in love with the dead goth (obviously not head over heels in love) &, at times became rather jealous of other crew members getting too close to the object of its affections.

Does anybody out there recognise the above synopsis? What was the name of the series? Is it available to buy on DVD?
