I'm trying to find an online image of a painting I've seen before. However, I know neither the name of the artist nor the name of the painting! I realise this is a pretty far-fetched demand but I hope this description might jog someone's memory:
The painting looks like it's been made using oil or acrylic, probably in the first half of the 19th century. It shows an exotic outdoor scene and two young men in the foreground. The men are tanned, slender, languid and look extremely similar. They are both seated on the floor and naked, or nearly naked, leaning on their elbows or hands and possibly looking at the viewer. The background is a fairly simple 'exotic' scene, using blocks of colour and possibly showing a woman to the right. The whole scene could be set in the Phillipines, or South America.
I remember very little! If you think you know the name of this painting do let me know.
Thanks.
