The N95 is hot, sexy and smaller than you think

I have no choice but to be an 850 guru now. Once you find yourself in a spot without reception because you're missing 850, you really realize how much more important reception is than any other feature on the phone.

Another reason NOT to wait for any of the Nokia shops to pick it up is that it will be at the full retail price for all eternity, unless they come out with something better and its value drops. I'll be in contact with x1387 to get my hands on one as soon as he's listing them.

.....price wont be the issue for this phone. Made in Finland will be. I hope there is a way to insure that I get one....any idea how?(made in finland that is)

I am just confused as to why Nokia would make a mobile with a screen as big as 2.6" and still keep it at 240x320 resolution ??? It makes absolutlely no sense, the quality will probably be so-so.

You guys really got it!!

For Americans phone signals is the major factor!

That's what service providers trying to compete here. Who has the best wide coverage.

As you can see majorty of the ads here in the US are all about less drop calls.

a lot of pocket pcs are 2.8"-3.5" (use to be as large as 3.8 even) and they're most QVGA. I don't see a major problem with it. Plus a GPS device needs to be easily viewable. The N80 was a bit too small, the n73 is really nice imo.

Im not sure thats the number 1 factor for most hofo members. I think as a whole your correct...most people in the US just want signal, but even the gen pop are becoming more and more dependant on features. However, if you offer me an E61 with inferior signal strength to lets say a Q, ill take ther nokia everytime. I need the 850 band to at least know my phone will make an effort to get signal. Without it, its like buying a car withou headlights...works great during the day but you can only sit in it at night and toy around with it but not drive it

As for me.. I have a friend who has a contact in UK that has a cell phone store there.

Whatever phone I request he gets em for me..

Like this N93 I just got yesterday! I never thought the built was so good!

Better than the one I've seen at the Nokia Store NYC.

How much thinner than the N80 is the N95? Because the N80 is a brick, IMHO, and that killed it for me. I just got an N73 to review and I immediately liked it so much more than the N80 ... because it's thinner. I can deal with longer and wider ... but thicker? No way, baby. The N80 is like some cast-off stepchild. WiFI but thick and no autofocus? Meh.

I hope the N95 lives up to the hype. And I hope I get to try it out at CES.
