Why do you suppose owls, eagles, swordfish, humans, and lions are often the most threatened organisms of a community that is exposed to DDT or mercury?
there is a term for this...but i forget.
its basically because they are at the top of the food chain, and all they collect all the DDT and Mercury from their prey
