The Most Random Moments in Animation. EVER!

I was watching the Ed, Edd N Eddy episode "Dear Ed" today, and while Double-D and Eddy are talking about finding Johnny a new friend, Ed inexplicably says "Not to mention a duck!"

How's that for randomness?

Well, yeah, I know. I just wanted to point out an example, and since I watched that one today, I figured I would mention that one.

On that note, anything that Pinky says when replying to Brain's "Are you pondering what I'm pondering?" would also qualify.

While it isn?t ?the most random moment in animation?, a line that was said in an episode of ?Sabrina, The Animated Series?, Tale Of Two Kitties, always managed to crack me up due to its random nature. In that episode, Salem found another cat who turned out to be a witch that he had loved four centuries earlier, but he stood her up on the night in which he was going to propose to her because he got nervous. In order to set things right, he brought a bouquet of fish to her home and wanted to say ?Scheherazade, I was a cad, please forgive me.?, but when she opened the door, he nervously spouted out?

?Scheherazade, I killed a clam, please forgive me!?

?I didn?t expect him to say that and even thinking about it amuses me endlessly. It?s my favorite ?random line? in animation.

I have to say that if this is the extent of "Most Random Moments" this community could come up with so far, this is a sad state of affairs.

Let's reach into the barrel and find a better one

OH! Here's one!

The Truth about Strawberry Milk

A little closer to home, there's always F-ing Windows 98

Animation related, there's also Opera's Over 9000 (Warning, if you never saw this one, its not office friendly).

We need some better moments!

The Real Ghostbusters episode "Slimer Come Home" has such a moment. And I'm not talking ghostly randomness. The gang throw Winston a party and before the cake is brought in Egon puts his hand on Winston's shoulder, smiles and says:

"I just want you to know, that I'm having a wonderful time".

Heck, he even has an expression on his face to convey the awkwardness.

The Looney Toon where I think Elmer Fudd believes he killed Bugs (Bugs is looking deathly pale and limp) then Bugs screams when Elmer embraces him and dances away like a ballerina used to weird me out as a kid.

*edit*
It was Corny Concerto and Porky Pig was the one hunting Bugs, not Elmer. Porky is trying to pry Bugs hands from his chest which reveals Bugs wearing a bra. Bugs screams and slaps Porky, making him look like a pervert, after which Bugs dances away.

The meatloaf should be spongey, yet firm...

Anywho, I got a obscure one. "Swing You Sinners". Or for that matter, anything the Fleischers did during that period. I dare someone to find a weirder classic cartoon then THAT one. No, "The Great Piggy Bank Robbery" doesn't count.

Probably my favorite random moment of animation ever is the climax of Rabbit of Seville. Bugs and Elmer are chasing each other back and forth with weapons, each one getting bigger than the last.

Small axe, then bigger axe, then a pistol, then a rifle, then a cannon, then a bigger cannon, then a gigantic cannon, then Bugs comes out with flowers, chocolates, and a engagement ring. Elmer runs away and re-appears in a wedding dress. They then proceed to get married.

It all happens so fast, and any of you who have seen it know exactly what I'm talking about. I start laughing just thinking about it.
