I just bought a 2002 Ford Taurus SEL. When I test drove it, the moonroof opened perfectly. The only thing I've done since then that could have affected its operation is a car wash. Now, it will open when just the back of the glass is up, but when I try to open it the other way (so all of the glass slides under the roof), it will not budge, although it does make a noise. I was looking at it just now, and when I slid the cover back, a piece of plastic came loose, which is the shape of the moonroof opening. Could this be in the way of the glass? If so, how can I put it in it's normal position? Any other ideas?
