The military and college credits?

I recently joined the navy, and I'm planning to go to school and get a degree while in the navy. I'm hoping to get a law degree because I want to join the FBI after I get out. I'm going into the nuke program and I'm going to get a lot of college credits because of it according to my recruiter. So what I'm wondering is that when I transfer the credits I already had before joining the navy, will the school that I go to look at the NUMBER of credits that I have or are they going to look at the classes in which I got the credits from? I'm just wondering because I'm hoping to get a criminal law degree, but I haven't started taking the classes for it until just recently and I'm just worried it's going to take me a long time to get that degree because I haven't taken too many criminal law classes.
Oh I meant criminology. I'm not entirely sure if it's the same thing as a law degree. I'm not really interested in the court trial part as much as I am interested in law enforcement. And if it is the same degree, then does anyone recommend a degree that might help me with getting a job at the FBI?
