I've just been looking over a few questions (I am new to answers) and I was shocked to see people making ridiculous comments completely out of place. One question was "Why do we have a seven day week?", the questioner explained she had read genesis and wanted a different answer so why start saying stupid things like "well you've read genesis so you know don't you".
I don't believe in a conventional Christian god. I have been to church and I find the message unhelpful. I've read the Bible, the Qur'an, the Book of Mormon and even the dead sea scrolls and nothing has given me an answer I believe quite as much as the big band theory. Science has answered more questions about our world than any book written over a millennium ago in my eyes but I don't force that down peoples throats. I went into town this morning and heard a group of carol singers from the local church (a bit early I thought!) but I didn't laugh and tell them "when you die you're just going to rot in the ground and there is no heaven". I accept that these are good people and I treat them as such without hurting their feelings.
So argue amongst yourselves. Is there a God? Is there no God? Do you have to force your idea onto someone? Can you just carry on your life having your own personal beliefs without telling others? Is it right to tell others there is one true God when you believe it is not theirs? (if there was a God I can't see why it would matter what book you followed because they all believe in the same good honest values)
Oh and If I get any Muslim bashing by uneducated losers I will report your answer.
