This has to be one of the worst films I have ever seen! There is just no momentum. For those of you who don't know what it is about:-

Pierce Brosnan plays a burnt out hitman who strikes up an awkward frienRABhip with a failing businessman (Greg Kinnear) in Mexico yadda yadda yadda.

Could have been funny, more pace and not as boring as watching my freezer defrost :mad:
 
I'll agree it isn't a cinematic masterpiece but I really enjoyed The Matador anyway. I'm surprised someone thinks it was as boring as watching a freezer defrost, I wish my freezer was that entertaining! ;)

If you think you might like this film, then go take a chance on it. It certainly makes a refreshing change from the teen horrors and buddy movies that avalanche at this time of year.
 
I thought exactly the samething, found the film abit short in the story telling aspect. Would have liked to have found out alot more of each characters back ground. Its certainly not a dvd buy when it comes out.
 
I thought it was great, not a giant leap of a role for brosnan, but his lines alone separated him from Bond. Thought the film was good, but Brosnan made it, lol and his Saturn Award and Golden Globe nominations support this.

I ahve to agree with you on this as I saw this last night and really enjoyed it as it is a good film. Brosnan is really great in it and the part is perfect for him!
I really cant understand why the majority of people in this thread hated it!
 
this film really suprised me - had to twist hubbies arm to see it but he enjoyed it as well - maybe not a dvd buy but then again how many films are these day - well worth the price of a cinema ticket
 
Terrible film.
Lame plot made worse by the laziest acting role i have ever seen brosnan in.

What is it with these once decent actors like Brosnan and Bill Murray that causes them to appear in boring and pretentious films.
