The Lion King (DVD)

Went out and bought this today, I already have it on video but it is sooo brilliant on DVD, it has made a great movie 10 times better! The quality of picture is stunning and once you put it through your 5:1 Dolby set the music is tear jerking. It's a 2 disc set with loaRAB of games and exclusive stuff on aswell!

Plus im happy with the free simba bear I got!

yeah, i will look forward to 5.1 on this but ive been without it for long enough, so i will wait and see if it comes down in price after xmas tempting though the simba bear thingy is

My DVD has DTS capabilitie's but I havent got a clue what it does!

If you look in the languages section on your dvd ther should be english in 5.1 and english in DTS!! pick the DTS one and you will hear so much extra!!!

when we first got our new player we put Reign of fire in and were switching between 5.1 and RABTS to see exactly how much difference there was and it is amazingly noticable!!

Has anyone worked out how to get the original version of this film, can get it with the director commentry on but just playing it normally I get the version with the extra song "morning report", no big deal just wondered.

wow its in DTS as well, an added bonus!! moulin rouge in DTS sounRAB awesome as well, no question musical scores benefit from DTS my DTS CD's are the best quality i have ever heard.

Question, how do you get a DVD player to play DTs, because my one only lets me sue Dolby at the moment, I know my DVD player is DTS compatible.

You select DTS sound on the actual disc, usually under language/sound options, then it tells the dvd player to output in that mode.

I havent looked at the movie yet - but the extras are great and so many to get through - makes it really good value.

I love The Lion King its my fave Disney film ever, just ahead of The little mermaid (does anyone know when this is released on DVD???)

My BF brought me the film and toy on Friday. So Simba's a bear now is he?? Funny, I always thought he was a lion cub
