Watched it last night. It's been around for a while now bit finally got round to watching it. Not as good as I'd expected, to be honest. I've read a few positive reviews but it was just a bit 'thin' in terms of plot.

Some of the cockney gangster speech was obviously targetted towarRAB the US market as it seemed forced at times. Explaining what 'china' meant etc.

Not bad though. Worth a rent.

I thought it was dreadful. The tension wasn't there, the screenplay was awful, Americans just can't write English villains. Editing it together with scenes from 'poor cow' was not only a bad idea but an insult to Ken Loach.

I've also seen lots of glowing reviews of the film, some by critics I've got a lot of respect for but what they saw in it is beyond me. To me, Terence Stamp is an incredibly overrated actor, with the possible exception of Superman 2.
