I am wondering if your mother is American and your father is a Mexican Citizen what does that make you? My brother and I were given up for adoption. He was given up in 78 however our mother gave him up in the US she brought him over at 6 months, I was born here in the US. She was an American Citizen. 29 years later he has hit a brick wall because he adoptive parents never filled out a form to make sure it read american citizen on his birth certificate. It says he was born in Mexico, but both his adoptive parents are Americans. He found me because court documents had to be opened up to show proof that he was adopted however it seems no one seems to care about. This could have all been avoided 29 years ago however his mother was scared that if she filed he would be taken away from her. He has lived, worked, has a birth certificare, has a social security card and everything he knows nothing about Mexico he is not even registered in Mexico so we are both trying to make sense of all this.
