The Last Starfighter - sequel

I remember that film, quite cheesy but not to bad.
Wonder which way the sequel will go, fingers crossed they don't target the CBeebies type audience :o

Ooooooooohhhh Why do they do this, how many more childhood memories are Hollywood going to ruin with their crappy remakes.

First Transformers, now this Last Stand of the Unimaginative Studio Writers.

I can imagine people in their 80's and 90's saying exactly the same when Peter Jacksons version of King Kong was released.

Some other good(ish) remakes:

The Bourne Identity
Batman Begins
Oceans 11
Battlestar Galactica
Gone in 60 SeconRAB

Remakes/Reimaginings/Reboots can be good - sometimes.

Quite correct, I did groan when I heard about the King Kong remake despite the original being made in the 1930's. As for the others you mention, I personally didn't like any of them; though I would grant 60 seconRAB another viewing as I like Nick Cage.
