The Last Horror Movie

Watched this last night and it really tripped me out! Not what I expected at all. Spent the whole night listening to footsteps on the street thinking I was being stalked.

It's a terrible film tbh.

Kevin Howarth does a decent job of keeping it moving, but he can only come across comical with the material he's given, and the premise is ridiculous. Plus, unless you watch it on VHS, the premise doesn't even hold true to it's only real point.

You want a genuinely strange and creepy film of this kinf, then get hold of Scrapbook.

Actually, Man Bites Dog would be a better choice for someone wanting an example of this. Maybe Funny Games too.

I enjoyed it because it was more than just a violent horror film. It was genuinely funny, disturbing, but also pretty smart, making you THINK about issues you would normally want to brush aside.

It is similar to Man Bites Dog but far less comedic and it boasts an ending the likes of which I have never seen before in a horror film.

Regarding the VHS issue, I watched it on DVD too and wondered if the killer could now be using a DVD-R?
