...tax cut and it made a mistake and imported some information from 06 into my tax return for 07 it was accepted i didnt noticed until i was reading my tax return should i ammended my tax return or just redo my taxes and please no smart remarks just serious answers please thanks
ive havent goten my return yet its been three weeks should i file an ammend return now or wait till i get an answer
 
If the letter says to amend your return, then amend it. If the letter says to show what is correct, then do that. You can't just refile your taxes. Sorry, you can't blame the software.
 
Do not redo your taxes.

You need to amend.

Whenever you use software and it imports old data, it is your responsibility to verify it. The IRS won't accept the excuse that the software did it.
