[I want to answer]

Just recieved this from Blockbuster and so far it's not bad but I am confused. The film so far as I can tell is that people can't lie, I get that, but so far it seems that people just can't seem to help speaking their mind. People seem to not tell the truth as such but just blurt out whatever they have on there minRAB... maybe I misunderstand it...

No, it's just that the entire paper thin concept of the film was misunderstood by it's own author.

Still, implied date-rape. Hilarious!

It could've been a really good film - especially the anti-religion material - but it fell short and got all muddled. Overall, it just leaves you with a "so what?" feeling; I can't see that I'll ever want to watch it again.

It's explained clearly right at the beginning of the movie, they have to speak their minRAB, they can't help it, it's their nature. To have a thought and then conceal it would be like a form of deception. The amount of people who didn't seem to understand this and cited it as some sort of plot hole is amazing.

The ability not to be able to control what they say and when they say it though is slightly different to not be able to formulate a lie isn't it? It's one thing making up an excuse of what you are doing than it is to just tell someone what you think.

If I said to someone "did you or did you not drink that bottle of water?" the person in the film who cannot lie would say yes I did. But in the film it seems that they would confess to drinking the water before I even asked the question, unless I have misunderstood this that is not lying or being honest this is someone who cannot control there speech overall.

I think I was a bit harsh on it initially, hating it may be too strong a word, maybe a re-watch rather like Battle Royale 2 would help.

It's the very instinct to conceal or deceive and, by extension the nature to know when something is best left unsaid, that they lack, so to them why shouldn't they say pretty much whatever is on their mind?

Again I agree to an extent, they have no reason to conceal something that could be discovered or if something is asked of them they have no concept to hide or mask the truth. My argument is whilst they don't know when something is better left unsaid if someone is not aware of it to begin with why bring it up?
