To liven up this sorta-dead sub-forum let's have a game!

You can either choose one piece for someone else to write or choose two pieces. If you choose two the first piece is what inspired your poem, the second is for the next user to write something. You do not need to adhere to the form of the piece. It could be free form, it could have a structure.
To kick it off I'll link something and put in my inspired piece. The first link is what inspired me, or served as a muse, for the following poem. The final link is for the next poster to write something.

Stardust Revery
I write not for the sages of old
or the ardency
of youth
it is for the doleful eyes
that see the night sky
and would swallow its infinite expanse
if only for the chance of company
A wisher's dream may be held accountable
were it to wrest a bauble of light from the night sky
and into their hopes or fantasies of futility
For every light that falls from the sky
a wish is silently spoken
for every light that falls from the sky
a wish is silently broken
