call? It's as if the ignition switch is locked but there is no lock button. I tried a spare key and that won't work either. Do I call a locksmith or a car repair shop?
I would just go to the car repair shop, chances are it will have to be replaced anyway and you will have to take it there, the locksmith probably won't be able to solve the problem because one of the pins inside the lock which permit the lock to turn are bent. So you would probably have to end up replacing the ignition module either way.
Call any local dealership, someone will be able to help you. Try what the last person said.
I had a 02 dodge caravan and it locked on me and on that car, I had to put in the key while pressing the brake and turn the wheel and it unlocked. You may have to play with it for a bit (took me about 15 min to get the right combo) also make sure you are firmly in park.
Have you tried wiggling the steering wheel while trying to turn the key?
It's a common safety feature in modern cars for the steering and ignition systems to lock up when the steering wheel is turned more than just a few degrees after the key is removed.
