The host - korean monster movie jaws meets j,park

Saw this today and enjoyed it very much. Not all of the humour works but the scenes with the monster are very well done, particularly the first appearance where it rampages through the picniccers by the riverside, and in broad daylight too, which makes it even more effective.

Saw this on DVD yesterday.

Can anyone answer a couple of questions - does the daughter die ? I wasn't sure.

Also - in the middle of the film the family are having dinner in the kiosk and a girl appears behind them , is this the daughter? Are they imagining this?
and how come the Agent Yellow powder didn't kill the family ?

tell me how to do spoliers and i'll tell you

its a great film - doesnt go the way you think it will either

his previous film 'memories of murder' is even better, about the (still unsolved) hunt for korea's first serial killer. its starts off like a knockabout comedy then gets darker and darker
