The Horror DVD thread

I bought Troll2 and Rawhead rex both were 99p from ebay lol also bought Trick R Treat on dvd,it was pretty good,5 different stories of horror all set on Halloween.

ohooh :D I not got any horror films again..its better watching them in the dark.lol..too light for me yet :D, but will keep an eye on those ones mentioned

When Bluray starts offering such classics like these for these type of prices that's when I'll consider switching.

I have the Troll/Troll 2 double pack. Still haven't got around to picking up the Ghoulies pack yet, I always see it on amazon and think about it.

There's always plenty of great horror bargains to be had on DVD.

I have the extended version of the original Halloween, there some good xtra scenes in there such as Dr Loomis begging the board at smiths grove to move michael to maximum security only to be told no,theres also more footage of michael as a kid being locked away,i also have the directors cut of part 6,theres a ton more scenes but the quality of the scenes isnt very good, very rough, worth a watch though.

The original is the best but i have a soft spot for part 4,theres some creepy imagery in the intro, really making it feel like halloween, its the one horror movie im certain to watch this october, whats ur fav?

Ps,did u know theres a TV cut of Halloween 2?

This thread is probably the first place in any media in which I've not seen 'Troll 2' being mentioned in the same breath as how utterly, unbelievably shite a film it is!

Yeah, the opening to part 4 is brilliant. I remember, while introducing the movie, an announcer on BBC1 Scotland said she probably won't make it past the opening sequence. :D

I think the first film is the best made film in the series. Though I like parts 4, 5 and 6!

I can't remember whether or not I'v heard about a TV cut of Halloween 2.

Interesting. The first is a masterpiece, pure gold. The second meh, and the loopy third I have a daft admiration for (it sticks to the original idea of having 'halloween' as a banner title for a different sort of film each time).

But I've never bothered with the rest as I was under the impression they were all rubbish - as was Rob Zombie's clueless reinvention. Never knew they had a reputation.
