All Rhyme No Reason

This guy and I really hit it off... our personalities click perfectly. In fact, it's the first I have been THIS compatible with someone since I can remember. We are in our lower 20's and he is living with his father until he graduates with his Masters degree next year.
Well, I just found out (he was afraid to tell me but I got it out of him) that his father, whom I have met, is a registered sex offender. He had consensual sex with a 14 year old step-child about 20 years ago and served time for it. The guy Im with seemed really troubled by this because a girlfriend in the past had left him over what his dad did and he was afraid I would do the same. I didnt feel uncomfortable at his house and I feel 100% safe with this guy. What would you do?
