I'm nervous

We haven't talked much in person, just in passing when with friends; maybe a simple hello, what's up, but that's about it (we usually talk over facebook or text because we never see each other - stupid technology, making everything so impersonal...) I never see him at school otherwise I would talk to him more... He is obviously interested otherwise he wouldn't have asked me out, but I'm still nervous nonetheless.
Any tips on how to make it fun and not awkward?
