Anyone else have a soft spot for this film, and for John Candy??

Yeah I have. Got it on dvd. I can watch anything with Candy in, I just love the guy. Great Outdoors isn't a classic by any means, but it's got some great moments, the water skiing scene, the bat scene, John trying to finish off that enormous steak, the bear chasing Candy
The only thing that lets it down is the boring and naff "love story" between John's eldest son and the local girl. Who cares!
