it seems craig actor has took role of asriel. is anybody interested in this film. i read the book recentely and liked it alot. its on par with harry potter or probably better. i heard they were going to take out the religious themes in the film.
 
I was given the three books for my birthday and it took me about a month to read them, I thought they were great, it will be interesting to see them as films but it seems pointless if they are taking out the religious element as ultimately that is the basis for the whole story.
 
Religion sells.

See Passion of the Christ as a prime example. They didn't exactly hide the "Aslan is Jesus" theme in Narnia and that did very well.

Haven't read the books but i will closer to the films release.
 
The books are NOT as good as Harry Potter, they're written in a very haphazard way and the third book made little sense half the time. The first book is the best, and I'm sure they'll be able to make a good film out of it, but they'll have to inject their own ideas to make the second and third a success.

Very happy with the casting of Daniel Craig as Asriel. Excellent.
