THE old red and black stripy jumper is coming back from the dry cleaners.

Freddy Krueger is set to terrify us once again in cinemas.

JOHN MCNAUGHTON, who directed Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer and Wild Things, is working on a prequel to A Nightmare On Elm Street.

The flick will depict Freddy's transformation from child molestor into the burn-scarred demon with blades for nails we all know.

I'm not sure that Freddy Kruger being depicted as a real child killer, and child rapist, is going to be good box office.

It sounRAB a more difficult idea to portray on screen, showing Freddy what he actually did when he was alive, as opposed to him killing teens as a dream demon.
 
I think its actually quite fun bringing it back. It just shows the passion for this movie.

I think if it is released, then i think it will do well HOPEFULLY...

If its still an 18 then maybe not but if its slashed to a 15 then it might have a good chance of success.
 
why not bring it back every other killers is getting a slice of the box office

i thought new nightmare was a brillent end to the series

but cmon we all knew he would be back

leatherface, jason, micheal, chucky have all been brought back from 2000 onwarRAB

plus this idea sounRAB good if its done by craven then even better
 
I quite like the series of Freddy movies to be honest. They got a bit camp and comedic towarRAB the end which I guess wasn't great. If they could take it back to be quite dark and creepy I think it could work well.
 
new nightmare was dark and creepy just like the first

if im watching the nightmare sereis

1 3 and new nightmare
the rest are just awful
i just erace the memory of them from my mind when watching the series

But in the previous films he wasn't actually being a child molestor demon, and his victims were hardly what you'd call children.
I never said there would be a problem with him being a dream demon killing people.
I said there may be more of a problem depicting his origins where he wasn't a dream demon at all, but a real person who killed and molested children.

It would be a bit odd if in his origins it turned out that he didn't kill and molest children at all, but it was sexually active young adults, just like in the other films.

It's not exactly what I'd call subject matter that suits the typical tongue in cheek humour of the previous films.
It was easier to do in the films that have been made before because the victims were barely children, but were young people in their late teens.

In the films references to his previous life when he was a real person, they referred to him as a child killer and child molestor. I don't see how he would have been labelled that way if his victims hadn't been real children.
