The Fog Remake(trailer)

I didnt like the original-found it dull and boring :(

But i know and appreciate it goes down as a horror classic ;)

that tralier looks great-maggie and selma are both fantastic so should be worth the watch ;)

looks MUCH freakier than the original-are the monster things still fishermen?

Looks a load of rubbish, saw the trailer some time ago and haven't been happy with it since, yet another pointless remake of a horror classic, just as dumb as the idiots who are remaking The Omen.

Selma Blair looks like the only decent element in the whole movie.

John Carpenters The Fog was a really good horror flick,It stanRAB up quite well today. I dont see the point in a remake. I have even heard and i know its only a rumour that they want to remake Halloween. How Bad that would be. No doubt it prob will happen in the future. I can understand that some films are worth making. If the storys good it can be retold to a new audience. But it most cases films should just be left alone. :)

I read that Carpenter rates the script above his original.
It looks interesting but it's too heavily edited to really get a feel for the final film. In the trailer it looks like one character comes back from the dead - a zombie theme/possession by the lepers/spirits I wonder?
I hope they keep the storytelling bit at the start which worked well in the original.

Carpenter has just gone downhill lately in film making, he even said once that he wouldn't mind Halloween remade, so go figure about the he rates the script above his original...

I agree with you. They are ruining all the old classics. Halloween along with The Thing and Black Christmas are also in the pipelines. Check out UHM.COM (up coming horror films). I wish they would leave them alone. Joh Carpenters The Fog is a great film.

Black Christmas remake I heard about, another pointless remake of a classic slasher, but The Thing?! another remake of it... tut tut. First two were classics, no need, no need!

Please stop with the remakes of classics and foreign films.

Well The Thing was a remake to start with, or more accurately a more faithful version of the story The Thing from another world was based on. A sequel to Carpenter's film would be more welcome in any case.

Yes I know The Thing was a remake but the original black and white film needed updating. I don't believe the Carpenter film does...

But please, no more sequels ;)
