In particular: 2001, The Shining, Eyes Wide Shut and A Clockwork Orange.
Surely not?
Upon reading a LOT of material, i have come to the conclusion (and this is nothing new) that Stanley Kubrick was the greatest director of all time.
His films carry some extremely sensetive political "agendas" if i may say so, and once the messages have been uncovered it is quite difficult to ignore what's being said. Obviously, the films challenge the audience to uncover what is being suggested. Now, 'A Clockwork Orange' makes it obvious, Kubricks vision of the future is FRIGHTENINGLY accurate to what is happening in the world today, and i know this is nothing new, but please consider the fact that the film was made in 1971.
I'd like to point some of you in the direction i followed whilst coming to the conclusion that Kubrick was a messenger of sorts, but only to people who were willing to see his films for what they were trying to say. The results, i can tell you, have left me completely baffled.

While not overtly political, please take the time to read the analysis and draw a form of conclusion upon what the film was trying to say, combine this with your own opinion, much as I did.

Again, consider the state of the world today and the proposed 'threats', largely the work of conspiracy theorists which i would like to steer clear from, but look at what is being said, and compare it with what is being said in the "news" etc.

Two for 'Eyes Wide Shut', but the message remains the same, or similar.
With the help of these assorted essays, I have come to the conclusion that Kubrick was not only a fantastic director but somewhat of a visionary. Now, what baffles me the most, was Kubrick just another paranoid conspiracy theorist? Or was he right?
Rantings over, but i feel i have to share these "findings" with others in order to form a more balanced viewpoint.
Thanks in advance.
