The fate of your beloved Ducati

I have loved all the bikes I have owned. Until the 848 I always had little gripes that got bigger and bigger prompting me to trade in. I would have an incredibly hard time seeing the 848 go unless it was something really special like a 1098R or Desmo. Just not in the financial position to do that or get a second bike right now. Even when I can swing it, I think my wife would take the 848 to keep it in the family! It is my first Duc and it's just about perfect!

Which is why I've diversified...
09 gsxr750
06 749s
02 cessna 172r
plus daily driver

but 1,000,000 aside it's still an amazing machine.

Now back to Ducatis

i sold my gsxr a while ago... i miss riding it when it's rainy. taking the duc out in the rain is a bitch, cuz i know i'll wash it that weekend. the gsxr was my dirty bitch, monsoon n all. my roommate would wash it cuz they felt sorry for it. but i see pics of it n reminisce... i know for sure i don't like packing on my duc. that's another reason to miss a jap bike.

but for the most part i don't like to get attached, it's like a guy. once u get attached... that's it, it's hard to let go.

This is my beloved 998 on the trailer going to its new home.

I was never going to sell it. After having the 1098 for a year and a 1/2, and not riding the 998, it went to a good home.

My wife was mad at me for selling it. She did not want to ride it, but know how much I loved it. But I would need a bigger shop if something did not go.

Awe, you look like you just wanna give it a hug in that pic!! I'd be bawling if I ever had to put my Bikey on a big trailer and send her away!! (I was sad last weekend when I saw her in a trailer for the first time ever with a 1098R and a Desmo to take her to the track). Bikey likes to be ridden, not trailered...

Hay Kami, she got all the loving in the shop before I rode her one last time around the block in the slush.
I miss her most late at night, like now when were talking about her. So heres more photos of her.

when I still had a brown hair.

In the Black Hills of SD.
