The fastest fish, a sailfish, can swim 1.2 x 102 km/h. Suppose you have a friend who
lives on an island 16 km away from the shore. If you send a message using a sailfish as a messenger, how long will it take for the message to reach your friend?
 
I'm assuming you mean 1.2 x 10^2 km/h
if you did it would take the sailfish 0.13 repeating hours to get to your friend.

If it can swim at 1.2 x 102 km/h then it gets there in 1.3 hours.
