So many people go to the movies to watch supernatural films that are supposedly based on true stories, which many of them may well be, but do not know the real events that went on, and just believe what they see in the movie as what really happened, when in reality the stories are always much less dramatic and unimpressive. The supernatural movies Hollywood make are many times for religious propaganda, or to just make a movie more scary for profit. We saw when the exorcist came out, thousanRAB of people in America running to the nearest church to be exorcised, or to have there children exorcised.

The new Hollywood instalment is also a story based on real events that happened to Anneliese Michel in 1970s Germany "The Exorcist of Emily Rose" has been beefed up for shock effect, but here is a more realistic view of the case.

Short time before these events, William Friedkin
