the effect of world war two on children. help please?

i need a good topic regardeing the effect of world war two on children.
it needs to start with "To what extent...." and cant be too broad im writing a 2000 word paper.
can any one help me ?
 
you can do something about how the children of the military sometimes lost their fathers in the wars. it's very tough when someone dies overseas, especially for their family.
or you can do the jewish children in the holocaust when they were taken to concentration camps. anne frank is a good example of youth during the war.
 
How about the children that had to be evacuated from the homes in the Cities to safer areas in the country. Some children were very lucky and got good foster parents, others were not so lucky. At the end of the war some parents did not bother collecting their children as they had made new lives for themselves without the kids. Evacuated children sometimes had trouble mixing with the children in the new areas and this caused fights and problems at school.
