The Dragon at night, DARK

I headed from Chicago area saturday morning to deals gap, came in on route 129 around 10pm, WOW talk about dark , after riding all day 670 miles it was a challenge. But all was well, got a good night sleep and enjoyed the dragon the skway, foothills parkaway and a ride through the smokies on Sunday. Woke up Monday and headed home, Weather was perfect all weekend, it was a long ride for the weekend but had a blast.

On a side note, I am thinking that deals gap store is a gold mine.

Wow, that's one hell of a weekend ride! A group of us did it last year but made it a week long vacation. I loved the area, but found out this year that the Black Hills have many comparable areas that are gorgeous as well, and it's also more diversified ie: the badlands, Needles HWY etc... They're both great areas to ride in though. Glad you enjoyed yourself!

Sounds like a great but long trip.

Made the mistake of traveling down Natchez Trace from Franklin TN to MS one evening at dusk and man was it dark. Way too many deer there to enjoy the trip. Even had to stop a couple of times for them to clear the road.

I live here and I have not ventured up there at night. Would be worried about the animals and the lack of sight. Glad you had a safe trip and enjoyed the great riding in East TN.

I did a 1600 miler last labor day weekend down there and back. I am not sure I would have messed with 129 at night either. No harm no foul in your case. Glad to hear you had a good time.

Its WAY MORE than a gold mine...it's also diamonds, rubies, platinum, etc, etc, etc!!!
What gets me is the burgers I've had, have actually been good; and fairly priced at that!! Got a t-shirt, and I don't remember it being more than any at the dealers?!?!?!
Props to the resort!!
