The Diet Thread - Shed a few pounds.

Okay guys, I don't have much experience with really dieting. I try to eat more or less healthy. Recently I cut back on lemonades (too much sugar) and started drinking more water, because I realized I may need to lose a few pounds. Now my question:
The area that annoys me most is my belly. Any suggestions as to diet and/or exercise that could help? :wiggle:

bad food is so hard to resist. I know I'm physically incapable of it.

 That's a very sensible thing to do. Alas, I am not that organized; and if I try to plan too much I start feeling rebellious and contrary.

I try to keep food in the pantry that I can make into simple sensible meals; that way I can make changes easily, and I don't feel too frustrated about being "good"

:) I find it the easiest to preplan a week ahead of breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner, & bednight snack. I am able to eat just at those time even if I don't follow all the foods written for that meal or day.

i've been doing lots of exercise in the gym: running, indoor cycling, weight exercises and also judo :)

I've been doing daily exercise for a few weeks now and it's really good. I have no idea whether I am loosing any weight (I've also cut out snacks) because the truth is I just hate scales and never weigh myself, but my goal is to get into clothes that had become too tight for me :D but aside from that, I feel so much better on the inside, and just happier overall and more energetic, and sleeping better. The only trouble is I've sprained my ankle so I can't do any running now, and I really miss it! I think my dog does too, because I always used to take her out running. Hopefully it'll get better soon :)

I'm trying to eat healthier too, and I really miss cheese! It doesn't help when certain family members get takeaway pizza! :P

I really need to get more activity. Weight Watchers is urging people to get more involved with walking right now, and I want to try to do that.

Eating too much of certain foods really can make you feel tired and sluggish. Raw foods and whole grains are a lot better for the digestion (even though they may not be as tasty as hyper-processed stuff).

When you change your eating habits, you're likely to feel kinda awful for a few days while you body adjusts to the new routine but within a week you can feel so much better.

I have this lack of energy issue, too. :(

I was supposed to start my diet today, but it didn't quite happen. Hope I can make it out to the gym this weekend. I really need to start doing that again.
