just a scab. Is this normal? A little over 2 weeks ago I literally cut the tip of my finger in half. I got my stitches out a few days ago, and the dead skin around the wound has come off since then, but there is no new skin underneath. The actual cut has closed, but there is no skin on the area right next to the cut. It looks like the skin has been scrapped off, but the skin fell off on it's own! Is it normal for the skin around really deep wounds to completely die like this?
