The dangers of a quad bike?

My brother who is 10 wants to go to some field in the the middle of no where tomorrow and ride a quad bike with his friend. His friends dad owns the quad bikes and they have apparently got someone from the internet to teach them how to ride them Would my parents have to sign some form or something if this guy from the internet was real?
And can someone please explain the dangers so that I can tell him
