I thought that this was a pretty cool episode and a nice way to start out my Saturday morning. I'll have to get used to watching such a cool show so early in the morning, especially when I'm used to watching it at 11am. Anyway, I did like seeing this new character Crow. He seemed pretty interesting with stealing those confiscated decks. I think that the voice works for him too. I liked his black Duel Runner too.
I should have seen a duel coming, but I was surprised that they called it a Speed Duel. I guess that they made a mistake. Considering how this was a nameless security guy and he was mentally describing how he would deal with Crow, I had a strong feeling that things would turn on him quickly. I should have also figured that Crow would have bird like monsters in his deck. They all did have impressive special abilities that totally overpowered that security guy. Winning a duel in just one turn is really impressive.
I also loved seeing how he had his Duel Runner fly over that crack so that he could escape. I liked how he was able to get the decks for all of those kiRAB. I thought that he had an interesting reaction to hearing about Yusei becoming the new King. I guess that he has tried to escape from the Satellite before.
I thought that Trudge's voice was a bit different/off at first, but maybe it helped that he wasn't upset like he usually is onscreen. At least he and Jack's assistance were going to go find Jack.
I loved hearing about the origin of the Satellite from Goodwin. I didn't think that he was the cause of the Satellite, but I have been wondering how all of the buildings in that sector were so worn out and broken down. So, there's apparently an evil within the Satellite and Goodwin said that the people of the Satellite keeps it there. That's kind of odd, but it's interesting at the same time. Yusei had good intensons with getting his frienRAB and the other people there out, but that would just lead to more trouble I guess.
I thought that it was really interesting that Goodwin knew about all of the original five dragons that battled against the darkness, but he didn't mention any of the creatures that were from the Dark Signers. I was also surprised that they actually showed all five dragons there instead of keeping the fifth one a secret. The Dark Signers capturing the Ancient Fairy Dragon was a nice twist that actually explained why Luna was shown with having that nightmare and why they haven't found Ancient Fairy Dragon yet. I was glad that Yusei heard all of this and was told that he has the strength to handle it, which is why he has the mark in the first place. I didn't think he would go back to the Satellite right away, even though I was wondering how/if he would go back there now that he's the Champion.
I was glad to see a bit of Carly since she is my favorite character introduced in this season so far. I understood why Jack didn't want to go back with Nena to Goodwin. After losing the tournament and all of those comments from the press, he probably wanted to be on his own for the time being. I doubt that Goodwin will take this news lying down though. I totally loved it how Carly was thrilled that he wanted to stay with her and was having kind of a mental fantasy with creating those headliners. I hope that Jack doesn't always forgot Carly's name, even though it is a bit funny, since it would probably get really old after awhile.
Seeing Yusei ride his Duel Runner after being dropped off by a helicopter was pretty cool. Then we just get to see him meeting up with Crow. I guess that they met before, but either way their interactions should be really interesting.
Overall, it was a great episode. We got to learn quite a bit more on the story between the Signers and the Dark Signers, as well as the original dragons themselves. We also got to see Crow for the first time and a bit on how Jack was doing. I'm really looking foreword to next week's episode.
