I have been watching a little bit of Rollbots here and there and while I am not totally sold on this show, I have to admit that it is kind of entertaining and is pretty fun to watch if there is nothing else on. I do like the animation style in the show to a certain extent, but I am afraid of a rise in this style of animation over classic 2D animation and with shows like Battle Force 5 and Rollbots now featuring this style of animation I'm afraid it's going to get hot and studio's are going to shift in this direction. Perhaps not, but I would rather a rash of 2D shows as opposed to a bunch of these 3D shows anyday.

But like I said, Rollbots is pretty entertaining and can be fun when there is either nothing else on or when CN is airing repeats.

Rollbots is cool, it's become a part of my new and improved Saturday Morning cartoon watching, I wouldn't call this series amazing or anything but I am definatly liking it and will continue to support it until otherwise. I hope this show finds success, it has that Saturday morning feel to it that reminds me of the old Reboot show of the middle 90's, I like it.

4Kids video player isn't working for some reason.

The second notch keeps getting buffered but my connection is DSL.

This shouldn't happen.

So I'm watching this now, and they mention Kei'zatsu and then I'm thinking, "Wait....Kei'zatsu...Kei-satsu? Keisatsu! Oh my god, that means "police" in Japanese!" And then I go on wiki and I find all the other "tribes" have names like that like the Tensai tribe which literally means genius. That's really cool.

I don't know why I like this show either. It's got this kind of charm to it.

Episode 5: The Koto Protocall
United States Airdate: October 17, 2009
Episode Description: When Lance gets smashed into Safe Mode by the henchbots, his only hope is a full repair at the Hub ... but as Spin realizes, something in Penny’s past may stand in the way of saving Lance’s circuits!

The names are a mix of Japanese words and techy humour. There's a lot of subtle stuff layered in, and it becomes more obvious as the season plays out... the first dozen or so are highly episodic, but then the story arc really starts to kick in.

Kinda wish we'd been able to start stronger, but I'm glad you like it, even if you don't know why :)

Ah...so you must be part of the crew on the show? It's pretty cool that you're here at Toon Zone. :D

Is there any word on a second season yet or is it just the first 26 episodes so far?

Oops, sorry, I'm slow today. I'm the creator, MCM. Toon Zone is one of my favourite places to lurk (especially since RollBots started airing on the CW :)

There's no word on a second season yet, but I've been told we'll have news soonish. I can't wait to start on it... I've got the next four seasons mapped out, and they're burning a hole in my brain, just waiting to be written. It's hard to see right now, but once you get past these early episodes (where we were specifically told to be as "crime of the week" as possible)... that's when the story arc really kicks in, and things get interesting.

I'm rambling. Anyway, yes. Don't mind me. I'll go back to lurking now :)

Neat. Four seasons planned already? Well, hopefully a second season isn't too far around the corner.
