The curse of Harry Potter

I can't believe they're using Richard Harris (who played Dumbledore in the first two films) dying of cancer as an example of the 'curse'. Pathetic.

This is a non-story. Someone who was basically an extra was stabbed to death last year (of course, the tabloid headline was 'Harry Potter star killed') and now Daniel Radcliffe's stuntman has been badly injured in an explosion. Two completely coincidential incidents, both serious, and should have a stupid 'curse' label slapped on them when there's absolutely nothing in it!

What happened to the stunt guy sounRAB really bad. I don't get how he fell to the ground if he's supposed to be harnessed up.

With the amount of people that work on a Harry Potter film I am surprised that there is not more instances of people getting injured.

Richard Harris and the boy that was stabbed, while both sad, their deaths had absolutely nothing to do with Harry Potter.

And, while I hope the stunt man injured this week makes a full recovery, surely it is part and parcel of his job to expect that injuries could occur at any moment?

As far as movie curse storys go this one has to be the worst. An old man dying of cancer and a stuntman getting injured are hardly unexpected events, epsecially as 1000's must have worked on these films over the years.

I thought The Omen's supposed jinx was just PR hyperbole to drum up business.

One of the actors did die during the shooting of The Exorcist though.

You really should pay stories like this a lot more respect, there's more truth in these curse things than you think.

I've just concluded a study, and when the results finally get published it will shock the planet to it's very core.

I've examined the cases of over 50 people who've died over the past year, and can now reveal that every single one of them had drank water at some point during their life - the only possible conclusion - drinking water is fatal!

Every single cast member of the classic 1935 Laurel & Hardy movie Bonnie Scotland, also known as Heroes Of The Regiment on its US release, is now dead. As is the director, the producer, both screenwriters, the film editor and the special effects photographer.

Surely the devil's work is afoot?

None.

Although David Warner's stunt double was injured during filming, and the special effects artist's girlfriend was beheaded in an accident on the set of another movie he was working on a year later.

Oooooh, the Omen. Less cursed than Harry Potter....

Poltergeist curse is probably the most well known, even a couple of the deaths in that weren't really unexpected, Julian Beck was diagnosed with stomach cancer before he even filmed Poltergeist 2 so it's hardly suprising he died before the film got released and Will Sampson died about a year after it was released but it that was hardly unexpected either.

I suppose it's the other two deaths that add to the whole curse thing, Dominique Dunne (older sister) was strangled shortly after the release of the first film and everybody knows about little Heather O'Rourke dying before Poltergeist 3 was released.

One thing I find awful about this is,this guy could end up paralyzed, and there are HP fangirls only commenting to worry about whether Daniel and Rupert are OK ( when they weren't even there, let alone doing the stunt!),not even hoping he gets better or anything.
I was genuinely appalled. Is that weird?

What a crap story, curse my a*se!

I sincerely hope though that the stuntman makes a full recovery and thoughts are with his family, although the job does come with risks it's sad that this has happened.
