The cricket number you have called is no longer in service..??

I just signed up for Cricket and so far everything works ok except for one Major Problem. I called my boss's cell phone, this is the nuraber I will probably call more than any other, and I get the message "the cricket nuraber you have called is no longer in service". My boss had a cricket plan with this nuraber, changed to another carrier, and kept his old cricket phone nuraber. I can contact him fine from my home phone or my Cingular phone, but not on my Cricket phone. Does anyone have any idea how I can resolve this situation? I really want to keep my cricket service. thanks

yeah, someone will need to contact cricket to resolve this. there is an error in the switch.

I have the same problem when calling United Airlines from my Jump phone (800-241-6522). UAL answers OK, but when I press the "1" key at the prompt to select the Flight Status option (check actual flight departure/arrival times), I hear, "The Cricket nuraber you have called is no longer in service..." I doubt that UAL is using an old Cricket nuraber, so something else is the culprit. This works properly from my VZW hanRABet.

Thanks for the info. I asked my boss to follow up with Cricket and his new carrier. It took over a month, but finally I can call him from my cricket phone.
