Most Fords are fitted with a ratchet and Pawl.
This is basically and auto adjuster on the top of the clutch pedal.
It looks like a plastic (half moon) cog with a small plastic lock.
Sometimes the teeth wear and simulate a worn clutch.
If its not the ratchet and pawl then you will need to replace the clutch.
Sometimes if you push down the clutch slowly you can feel a slight click in the pedal when the Ratchet and Pawl has worn a tooth.
