The Chronicles of Riddick.

Watched this a few times over the past month since I noticed Sky were showing it. Brilliant film, did it do well on release - I recall people saying he should of made XXX and Furious sequels.

Are you with me, Kyra... :D

Glad he chose to do Chronicles, though he was in Tokyo Drift for a cameo lol, Pitch Black is one of my favourites, so to see a 'follow' on was nice, nothing brilliant but still worth the watch, enjoyed it.

It didn't too well in the US, so a sequel is doubtful. I remember the reviews were really negative all round.

I really enjoyed it but felt it was a bit too overblown in creating so many different worlRAB and races, like some Lord of the Rings epic (which it ain't). Great effects too.

I absolutely adored pitch black. loved the fact that you didnt know who was gonna survive as Vin wasnt known then. loved it loved it loved it! so much so - i couldnt believe the Chronicles of Riddick would work. hated the trailer. but when i saw it - i thought it was such a great piece of story telling.

loved the anime prequal to the Chronicles as well!

kind of hope they make a 3rd one as i have a thing for trilogies.

yeh after fast and furious 4, hes making COR 2,3 and f&f 5 and xxx 2

i like vin myself so im looking forward to all! i really enjoyed f&f4

I agree with you. Stick to gritty space sci-fi rather than underverse nonsense. CoR is good because it continues riddicks story, one of the modern great charactors. want to see less tech in the new film and more of the fear & darkness that made the 1st a cult classic

I remember reading some interview with Vin in which he likened Pitch Black to "The Hobbit" and said that "Chronicles..." would be their "Lord of the Rings," Trilogy.

Even before seeing "Chronicles..." I felt he was coming across a bit over-the-top in what he expected to produce. Clearly, that's what they wanted it to be, though.

Personally, I found "Chronicles..." something of a let down. I loved Pitch Black and I usually hate horror-type film. But it was such a wonderfully-realised piece that I couldn't help but love it. I felt that the sequal lost what made the original good and relied to heavily on its epic story (which was kinda naff).

Re The Cronicles of Riddick; I've always thought the basic premise of the script, with some obvious tweaking of course, would have made a great third Conan movie.
