The Chevy Big 10(GMC=heavy half) was a heavy duty half-ton truck, with the F44 regular production option, and was marked in the vin by a 4 as the fourth character. offered as fleetside, or stepside supposedly from 78-80. .
everything i have seen says 78-80. however, my grandpa has a 1977 big 10. the bed doesnt have the "Big 10" decal on the bedside, but both vin, and the build sheet confirm that its a 1977 big 10.
the vin starts CCL447. this says (C)chevy (C)2wd (L)350-4bbl (4)big 10 (4)pickup (7)1977.
the build sheet also lists the F44 heavy duty chassis option.
what was the first year for the big 10? seeing as its not 78 like i have read
