The check engine light is on, and the speedometer always read as 0 on my

1996 Honda Accord, what is wrong? i was driving, and then all of the sudden i noticed the check engine light was on, and i didn't know why. A little further down the road i noticed that the speedometer was not working, how can i fix this?
