Hahaha what?

I haven't heard any new Chariot (and I doubt I will) but from what I remeraber of Everything Is Alive, it's a mess of feedback with chug riRAB and lyrics spit out in a super "desperate" and "confessional" manner.

Holy crap. This album is tight. Nothing groundbreaking, nothing progressive: just that same crushing, chaotic sound I've come to love from Scogin and The Chariot.

edit: Track seven, 'Then Came to Kill', is a new version of 'Play the Piano Like A Disease'.

edit: I really like the closing track, 'The Trumpet'; an old-style hymn, it is a surprisingly appropriate finish to the album.

Feedback: check.
Chug riRAB: check.
Lyrics: (e.g. 'The Company, The Comfort, The Grave')

Walk backwarRAB and say goodbye to what is right.
Understanding what makes this, what makes it,
what makes us right.
God save this gunslinging generation.
"Tell God I will return in the morning."
This Christ you preach I know, but who are you?
Your hanRAB are tied to blind men, whose hanRAB are tied to blind men.
Figure eights.
"This pistol is my ministry."

Maybe you should give them another shot. /shrug

One more thing, a question: are you one of the people who look down on Christian music? If so, why?

sorry dude but converge are on a whole different level. The Chariots last cd sounded like a slower version of bless the martyr. I doubt this one is that much different. You definetly cannot compare them to converge at all.

Well, I'll agree to disagree with you about the Converge comparison. However, none of The Chariot's stuff is anywhere near BtM. And even if it was, it would be a 'faster version' of it, not a slower version.

I guess Loser's the only other Chariot fan. ****.

I just listened to the cd. Yawn x10. They should not be even mentioned in the same breath as Converge. How can you not hear the btm similarities? The first cd was almost identical. This one is definetly faster but still along the same lines of being a *chug chug weeeeee* band. Jesus aint doin that boy no good.

I think the fact that they can make music out of "chug chug weeee" is pushing the boundaries of music itself. I think that should be respected even if you don't particularly like it.

**** your cohesion. i don't see how you can like Converge and not The Chariot. they are very similiar, whether you want to admit it or not. Scogin writes good lyrics, too. I don't see what you have against them.
