i must say, i (even being as old as i am) have been watching the series. And yes he does still speak in rhyme.
Personally, i find this show to be kind of a "cat in the hat for a new generation."
The animation is an interesting mix of new and old (it has a look of the old cat in the hat stories, with a quality thats current with most tv shows today)
Its educational, without the kind of "pandering to the youngsters" that is unfortunately seen in most shows of its kind today.
In fact, i'd say that the only other show that can have the kind of "timeless" feeling this show provides would be the likes of arthur. Only pbs kids show i know of that reminds me of old nicktoons.
Anyway, before i go off topic. This show has the kind of timeless feeling to it, a show that parents can watch with their kids (and stoners can watch while stoned. heh...talking cats...and plants..and animals...) Also, i feel the cat in the hat as a character has actually been updated quite well even though it's something of a toned down version of Mike Meyers' version from the live action movie.
Really a good recommend though.
