Remember to lubricate your refrigerator door gaskets twice a year with
petroleum jelly! The refrigerator repairman gave us that tip after
replacing them a year and a half ago (a costly repair).... and finally
did it for the first time yesterday. We have to put some muscle into
opening the doors now - it makes a little whoosh like a seal is
breaking and closing them makes a new car thunk (which makes me think
we should put some petroleum jelly on the car door gaskets too). The
evidence doing it is a good thing is the temperature inside the
refrigerator has dropped so much I need to adjust the settings to
warmer. Yea! That will be a good energy saver.
Don't forget to keep those coils clean too!

Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground.
