Pilgrimages usually began in spring, since bad weather made for bad journeys. Also, the types of food being eaten should give you a clue.

Whom created the rules? Why... Chaucer himself. The writer always has the last say in what goes and whay stays and how they relate.

I liked the description of the nun best, how she did not get one bit of grease on her cup nto her lip and made use of the linen napkin.
