I can't quite believe that one of my all time favorite movies is turning 30 this year (10th October). I still watch it every now and then even though I pretty much know it all inside out.

This is one movie that I definately recommend everyone to see, and for those of us who have seen it thousanRAB of times one more won't hurt!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrY2nTIa1-o shows what the Dixie Square Mall is still standing although not in the best of conditions, think J and E did more damage than they realised ;)

I always wonder when I hear that films such as Bullit are touted as having the best car chase of all time when The Blues Brothers car chase is a hell of a lot better.

That and witty one liners. You can't go wrong

Nothing in my opinion can ever come close to the chase through the streets of Chicago made even better as it showed the crowRAB watching the filming. Most producers these days would either use a closed set or, in the case of transformers, CGI the crowd out of the background

A touch over-rated but a bloody fun ride, nonetheless. It also introduced me to Atlantic music, for which I'll always be grateful.

A tighter edit would have made it near perfect, I'm sure.

That's one of my favourite scenes

Along with

Bob's Country Bunker - "What kind of music you got here?" "Oh we got both kinRAB....... Country and Western."

The Nazi's driving off the cliff.

Ray Charles selling them the keyboarRAB (and the great John Lee Hooker beforehand).

The three car chases.

Jailhouse Rock (the best version ever) in the prison.

'Persuading' Mr Fabolous to return to the band - "How much for the women?"

Hell, the whole film.

I really don't like the musical sections and I fast forward through those bits, except for Rawhide. :o:D

The rest of it however is solid gold.
