The black community does not need spiritual atonement or spiritual help, the black community's struggle in America has always and will be for years to come, one of economic stability. The black male pastor aren't saying anything but what black women want to hear. They don't dare go into the problems that face the black community or they'll empty out the remaining female members. You'll notice all these mega church black pastors live lives of luxury while their congregation is hardly making ends meets. You'll notice the church will be the biggest most cared for building in the neighborhood, while the mostly black schools are in shambles. The black church does more ego stroking then delivering true wisdom.
Even in Liberia Africa, you have a large christian population, giving them the same "feel good" sermons, meanwhile there isn't any running water in most places, destitute living conditions, yet they throw big revivals every Sunday. Its like I said before, its not a matter of spiritual atonement for many, its a matter of economic stability. The black church teaches for those who follow Jesus, to wait on God, he'll make a way..blah blah. I'm sorry to tell you, but that train has pulled out, and its about time that black people put away their childish things and step into reality or else its going to get worse.
